The Council Annual Meeting is a tradition for many in the industry, but in 2012 we are moving west, heading to a new venue, and unveiling a strong program focused on timely issues facing your company. Like no other industry event, the Annual Meeting brings together a diverse and multi-disciplinary audience to advance four priorities:
Shared Learning & Growth
More than ever, the 2012 Annual Meeting will provide attendees with thought provoking content that will help advance dialogs with colleagues and customers at the meeting and beyond. Brand Marketing & Public Relations
Council members use the Annual Meeting to conduct strategic dialogs with the beauty and trade press in attendance. While marketing staff meet with this audience regularly, members point to the Annual Meeting as the one chance for the media to meet with senior executives within their companies. The media values this face time with the senior executives and for the companies, the meetings are an integral part of advancing brand messaging and product vision.
Business Development & Innovation
Raw material, packaging, and other suppliers to the industry are in attendance each year and member companies take advantage of having them all in one place. Purchasing and R&D staff in attendance will arrange multiple meetings with existing suppliers to discuss their working relationships and explore new opportunities for collaboration. In fact, many large members make a point of inviting all of their suppliers to the meeting to ensure they can make the most of the time in Florida.
Industry Policy Initiatives
In addition to being an educational and business development opportunity for members, the Annual Meeting provides a forum for the Board of Directors and other Council Committees. It is a major governing meeting for the Council. Staff of member companies that participate on the Board and other policy committees attend to advance the work of the industry and the Council.
